Abstract: In this paper we present a study of the THz electromagnetic properties of anisotropic eutectic metamaterials of cylindrical polaritonic LiF rods embedded in NaCl host and of polaritonic lammelas of NaF layers in BaF2. It is shown that such systems can be characterized by hyperbolic dispersion relation in the THz regime. Analysis of fields for different rod/layer orientations is carried out and superlensing and super resolution effects are demonstrated and analyzed. Principles of operation are also explained.
